Set against the sculptural arches and lush gardens of the McNay Museum, this session had the kind of timeless elegance photographers dream of. The clean architectural lines gave us beautiful structure, while the natural light brought softness and warmth to every frame.
Brianna’s outfit choices were perfect—polished without being overdone—and Sam matched her vibe completely. Her ring? Absolutely fabulous. I couldn’t stop photographing it (and you’ll see why below). When they pulled out their sunglasses mid-session, it was the perfect modern twist—fun, fresh, and full of personality.

Sam and Brianna opted for a full two-hour session, and it made all the difference. With zero rush, we were able to explore different pockets of the McNay, capture both intimate and playful moments, and really allow the two of them to settle in and just enjoy being together. It gave us space to get a full editorial range—from soft and romantic to bold and confident.
If you’re considering engagement photos, I highly recommend giving yourself more than just a quick 30 minutes. The best moments often come once you’ve warmed up a bit—and having extra time lets us capture everything from wide landscape shots to detailed close-ups of your ring, smiles, and style.

As the light shifted, we moved into the gardens where golden hour wrapped them in this gorgeous, flattering glow. It was a reminder that you don’t have to be on a beach or in a forest to have stunning, emotional photos—sometimes, the right city backdrop is all you need.
Their chemistry made my job easy. Every look, every touch—it was all genuine, and it showed in every frame.
